Audio Visual!

the official blog of the critically acclaimed (bad joke) CHUO FM show of the same name.

Peeps:

Today we spoke to Riley Stewart, who plays Scout in the Vision Theatre production of Life After God.  The play runs until the 31st at the Arts Court Theatre.  Tickets are $25, $20 for student/seniors.  More info.

We also spoke to Sandra Graham, the director of the U of O’s performance of Carmen. Only three performances left: Friday Jan 30, Saturday Jan 31 — both at 7pm — and a 2pm matinee on Sunday, Feb 1. The opera takes place at Alumni Auditorium at uOttawa. For more info, call 613 562-5733. The Ottawa Citizen recently profiled Sandra.

Songs:

All The Money I Had is Gone - The Deep Dark Secrets
In My Blood - The DoneFors
White Winter Hymnal (Fleet Foxes cover) - Ruby Isle
We Become Our Own Wolves - Rae Spoon
There Are Maybe Ten or Twelve - A.C. Newman

Events:

01/29/2009 - C3: COMEDY CARES @ Aulde Dubliner, 8:30pm. The picture for this Facebook event is from Psycho, so I don’t know what kind of humour you can expect, but… Still. These guys (and gals!) are good. It’ll be interesting to see how they pull off a stand-up show at a pub like the Aulde Dubliner.

01/30/2009 - Politique, Relief Maps, Ennuie @ Zaphod’s. It’s only six freaking dollars. And they have a cute poster.

01/30/2009 - Dharma Arts: 3-D. An arts magazine that is throwing a big party and featuring all kinds of live art performances that include arty haircuts, or something. That’s what Jessica Ruano told me. @ the new Raw Sugar Cafe, which is kind of like Umi, but… sweeter?

01/31/2009 - DISORGANIZED and TIMEKODE join forces to present DISCODE #3, plus a very special screening: A Portrait of Arthur Russell. Sounds nothing short of awesome. @ the Eri Cafe. 10pm.

Download show: coming soon.
